Why late fall is a good time to plan a bathroom remodel
As the weather turns cold across Aurora and the Denver metro, the bathroom is one of the rooms you use every single day, in the dark mornings and the long evenings alike. A tired shower, worn tile or a layout that never quite worked becomes much more noticeable when the days are short and the house is full of people. If a remodel has been on your list, the weeks ahead are a sensible moment to start the conversation.
Planning now also gives you room to decide things properly. Choosing a finish, thinking through the layout and finding a time that suits your household all take a little thought, and it is easier to do that before the holiday rush than during it.
What is actually involved in a bathroom remodel
Every bathroom remodel we do follows the same process, from first call to final walkthrough:
- Tell us about the bathroom. You call or send a message with the room, the finish you have in mind and roughly when you would like the work done.
- Choose your finish. Tile, marble or natural stone. We help you land on the right material for the space and the budget.
- Remodel, built to code. The old fixtures and surfaces are cleared, and we check the waterproofing and layout against code before any tile goes up. Then your finish is installed level and tight at every seam.
- Walkthrough. We walk the finished bathroom with you before we call the job done.
Why the work behind the tile matters
A bathroom is a wet room, so the part you never see is the part that counts. On a tiled shower wall that means framing, a waterproof membrane, and only then the tile, marble or stone. We look at how water actually moves through the room before we start, because a beautiful finish depends on what sits underneath it.
Tile, marble and natural stone
We install tile, marble and natural stone finishes in showers, tub surrounds and floors. The right choice depends on how the room is used and the look you want. If you are not sure where to begin, tell us about the space when you call and we will talk it through with you. Vanities, fixtures and flooring are part of the same job, so the whole room can be planned together.
Think about the floor at the same time
If the bathroom floor is wearing out too, it makes sense to plan it with the rest of the room. Our flooring installation work and our bathroom work come from the same team, so a new floor and a refreshed bathroom can be one project rather than two. You can also read about planning a new floor this fall.
Paying for the project
We offer financing, so ask us about your options when you contact us. Our post on financing a bathroom remodel or a new floor explains how to start that conversation.
What to think about before you call
- What bothers you most about the bathroom today?
- Are you leaning toward tile, marble or natural stone?
- Do you want the floor and fixtures updated as well?
- When would you like it finished?
You do not need every answer. Part of our job is helping you narrow it down.
Serving homes across the Denver metro
